Ever feel like celebrating a special anniversary or evening with an expensive bottle of wine, but hesitate when you see the menu price?
Florida billionaire William Koch had the opposite feeling: he sued after purchasing 24 bottles of allegedly vintage Bourdeaux, only to later discover the wine he had purchased was not what it was alleged to be. After jurors awarded him $379,000 in compensatory damages to compensate him for his loss, the jurors also awarded him $12,000,000 in punitive damages. Koch reportedly will use the funds to help his crusade to combat the sale of phony wines -- and that's nothing to whine about!
